Botswana and Victoria Falls13 Day Guided Self-Drive 4WD Safari: Johannesburg, Waterberg, Francistown, Nxai Pan, Maun, Okavango Delta, Moremi, Chobe, Victoria Falls, Kubu Island, Makgadigadi Pans, Johannesburg. Day 1 Arrival at Johannesburg International Airport. Transfer to our office. Complete all the necessary paperwork with the aid of one of the helpful staff and go over all the vehicle's facilities. We leave for a lodge in the Waterberg just outside Nylstroom (Modimolle). (±230 km)
Day 2 We leave for Francistown in Botswana where we camp on the edge of the Tati River. (±470 km)
Day 3 Travel via Nata Bird Sanctuary to Nxai Pan National Park where we overnight in one of the camps. We will attend to the off-road driving abilities of your vehicle and yourself as and when we get to the different "obstacles" en-route. (±465 km)
Day 4 After an early morning game drive we head back south to have brunch at the famous Baines Baobabs. We continue to Maun, on the edge of the Okavango Delta. We stock up on fuel and drinks for the next couple of days. We camp at one of the campsites, just outside town on the edge of the river. In Maun, you have the option to take a flight over the Delta in the afternoon, do some shopping or just relax at the pool. (±310 km)
Day 5 Early morning we head for Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta. We have ample time for game viewing en route to Moremi. We overnight at one of the remote campsites. (±130 km)
Day 6 We spend the day game viewing on our way to our next campsite in Moremi. You have the option to go on a boat ride deep into the Okavango Delta. (±60 km)
Day 7 Head north to the Mababe Depression and enter Chobe National Park at the Mababe gate. We travel further north to the Savuti campsite. During the day there is ample time for game viewing en-route. (±180 km)
Day 8 Today we travel further north through the Chobe Forest Reserve to Ihaha and camp on the Chobe River bank after a game drive along the river. (±140 km)
Day 9 We travel through the Zimbabwe border to arrive in Victoria Falls at about 12h00. Here you can enjoy the afternoon visiting the famous Falls and other attractions. We camp at one of the camping sites in Victoria Falls. (±130 km)
Day 10 Today we stay in Victoria Falls and you can participate in any of the numerous activities. For example: white water rafting, bungi jumping, river cruises on the Zambezi River, helicopter flips, canoe safaris, etc.
Day 11 We continue on safari and return to Botswana, head south past Nata and on to Kubu Island. Kubu Island is close to the shoreline of the Makgadigadi Pans which was once Africa's biggest inland lake. To camp out here, in this fast area of nothingness, is quite an experience. (±490 km)
Day 12 Today we travel further south past Letlhakane and Serowe to our last overnight stop close to the South African border. We overnight in a lodge, dinner, bed and breakfast is included. (±510 km)
Day 13 Today we travel south east through the Northern Province of South Africa to arrive at about 15h00 at our office to return our vehicles. (±460 km.)
