Reservation Terms and Conditions

Reservations

Reservations can be made up to 7 days prior to commencement of your proposed rental. Please fill in the Blue Travel Reservation Request (Standard Form | Secure Form) including the first eight (8) digits of your credit card number.

Blue Travel prefers reservations via the Internet. But you may also print out the reservation form and fax it to one of our worldwide offices:

Our Reservations staff will respond promptly to your inquiries and provide booking confirmations within 72 hours. The answer includes your reservation file number and the total amount due.

The reservation becomes final as soon as we receive the missing digits of your credit card number. If you fail to submit full credit card details within 72 hours after we sent your confirmation, we may cancel your reservation at any time.

Payment

Welcome Tourism Services (the largest South African Incoming Agency - and Blue Travel's partner organization in Southern Africa) accept the following credit cards: MasterCard, VISA, American Express and Diners Club.

Welcome Tourism Services require full payment at least 30 days in advance. If there are less than 30 days between your reservation and the commencement of your rental, the total amount (rental charges and other prepaid items) is due at the time of reservation.

As soon as full payment is received, Welcome Tourism Services will issue a prepaid Europcar Voucher. Vouchers can be picked up during airport operating hours at the Welcome Tourism Services desks in the Johannesburg, Cape Town or Durban International Airports.

Any credit card payment which cannot be authorized for any reason may result in a cancellation of the booking.

Change of Existing Reservations

If you need to change an existing reservation please send an e-mail to Blue Travel as soon as possible.

Any change requiring an amended confirmation is subject to a ZAR 250 service fee.

Cancellation

If you need to cancel an existing reservation please send an e-mail to Blue Travel as soon as possible.

You may also cancel your reservation by sending a fax to one of our worldwide offices:

Any cancellation will be reconfirmed in writing (fax, letter, e-mail) through Blue Travel. This reconfirmation will include the date and time we have received the cancellation and the fees involved. Your credit card will be used to both debit or credit the final amounts.

Cancellation Fees:

  • Until Blue Travel has received your final acceptance on the booking (no more than 7 days from initial booking): No charge.
  • Until 31 days prior to pickup ZAR 200.
  • If cancelled from 30 days to 4 days prior to pickup ZAR 500.
  • If cancelled 3 days or less prior to pick-up or a No Show:
    A fee of 2 days rental will apply based on the extension rates.
  • No shows: Customers who fail to arrive on departure day or decline vehicle at departure day for whatever reason are considered as a departure day cancellation.
  • If vehicle is returned early for any reason whatsoever no refund.
